One hundred superheroes will rappel down 30 storeys Thursday in downtown Calgary, all in the name of a good cause.

Easter Seals is hosting their annual Drop Zone event at the Sun Life Tower.

Stephanie Rosch with the organization tells 660News that the event will go despite the unfavourable weather forecast.

Funds raised will support children and adults with disabilities in Alberta through equipment and camp programs of Easter Seals.

The event goes from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and spectators are welcome to cheer on the superheroes.
