Bunnies shot with bow and arrow

Someone's killing bunnies with a bow and arrow in Calgary, with yet another rabbit sighted in the northwest on Saturday.

A Calgary Sun photographer got a picture of a rabbit hopping near McMahon Stadium with a red arrow through its back.

The bunny was in the same green space just south of McMahon where another rabbit, also shot with an arrow, was found last week.

Calgary Police Service Inspector Keith Cain tells 660News this is something they take seriously because an arrow, which is shot at high velocity, could easily hit someone nearby.

In May, according to the Sun, someone shot a rabbit with a yellow-feathered arrow in Coach Hill.

In Okotoks last month, a family's dog nearly died after someone shot it in the chest with a bow and arrow.

RCMP are still investigating that case.
