Calgary Transit launches safety campaign

Back to school doesn't just mean the hallways will be packed, it also means thousands of extra passengers will be riding on busses or C-Trains.

To deal with this more police and transit peace officers will be patrolling the LRT this month.

During the campaign they will be spreading safety awareness tips and enforcing transit rules.

During a similar campaign last year, officers received hundreds of compliments from passengers who appreciated the increased presence during this busy time.
