One of Canada's most notorious serial killers will not get a new trial.
The unanimous ruling was released Friday morning by the Supreme Court of Canada.
We're also learning that there will be no more prosecution of Robert Pickton.
Pickton is serving life in prison with no parole for at least 25 years, after he was convicted in 2007 of killing six women in the Vancouver area.
The B.C. Crown Counsel says it anticipates staying the remaining 20 charges against the pig farmer from Port Coquitlam.
This means a second trial for the other charges will not proceed.
Defense lawyers had appealed Pickton's conviction because they believed the trial judge made some errors while instructing the jury.
But the Crown successfully argued that even if there was a mistake, it was not enough to quash the convictions and grant a new trial.
