One of the candidates looking to become the next mayor of Calgary says it doesn't matter to him if broadcaster Barb Higgins takes a run at replacing Dave Bronconnier.
Alnoor Kassam tells 660News he's sticking in the race regardless of what the former CTV anchor does.
Calgary is still a-buzz after Higgins stepped down from her CTV anchoring post and rumours are rampant that she's throwing her hat into the mayoral ring.
Kassam says just a couple weeks ago, Higgins told him she would not be taking a run at the mayor's seat, but he wouldn't be surprised if that changes.
If she runs, Higgins would be the 12th candidate on the ballot and the first woman.
