It could be what desperate couples all over Canada, have been searching for.
Canada's first 'embryo donation service' plans to offer tens of thousands of fertilized eggs that were abandoned in medical clinics across Canada.
Advances in reproductive technology means couples who would never have children are now faced with the potential of too many, thanks to the thousands of frozen embyos stored across the country.
Kerry Vandergift, Executive Director of 'Beginnings Counsellng and Adoption Services tells The Globe and Mail, "it's filling a need for other ways to create a family."
It's not cheap though.
The new service will cost close to $14,000, which does not include medical or legal bills.
