Police investigate murder in Rosscarrock

Calgary police are investigating the city's latest murder after the discovery of a body in a southwest alley.

Police tell 660News it appears the man was beaten to death with a metal pipe.

The victim was found in the community of Rosscarrock, near 8th Avenue and 44th Street SW around 7:30 Wednesday night after a fight.

The murder happened near Vic's home. He tells 660News he saw the body and a car still running in his alley shortly after the killing.

"I thought somebody had been hit by a vehicle," he says. He says neighbours told him they spotted three young people wearing hoods that covered their faces near the murder scene shortly after.

Police are on the hunt for several suspects, some that could be as young as 16.
