You'll soon have some big black bins to go with your big blue ones.
Changes are on the way for Calgary's garbage collection.
For the last few months, the city has been testing automated trash pick up in six communities.
After a 93% approval rating, the black garbage carts will be rolled out to every home by the end of the year.
The city's waste and recycling director tells CTV, the bins make collection safer, cleaner and more efficient.
Last year there were more than 200 injuries related to garbage pick up, but none were reported in the pilot program.
