Professor says multiculturalism shouldn't be 'papered over'

A Sociology professor from Queens University in Toronto says our country's practise of 'papering over' apprehension when it comes to immigration, should be replaced by frank conversation.
Dr. Jeffrey Reitz tells the Calgary Herald, governments who insist there are problems with discrimination and racism are often muzzled.
He adds, communities often refuse to believe a certain amount of discrimination is happening in their own backyards.
A new Statistics Canada survey says that in 20 years, one in four people in Canada will have been born elsewhere.
In the U.S., American scholars have questioned whether the melting pot assimilation actually works
