The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is issuing a couple food
recalls, connected to concerns over Listeria bacteria and salmonella.
A brand of
Prosciutto Cotto cooked ham may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The product was
sold to food stores in large packages for further slicing bearing ``best
before'' dates of March 8 and March 22 of this year.
The ham was sold
to consumers after January 11 in Ontario, Alberta
and Quebec.
The agency is also
warning the public about certain snack products containing ingredients recalled
because of Salmonella contamination.
The products
include Cajun Mix, Peanut B.B.Q., B.B.Q. Sunflower Seeds under the Almira name
and Fontaine Sante Spinach Dip.
