A local resident, along with two reported off-duty firefighters, are being credited for saving a pet dog from a fire in the city's northeast.
Around 3:00 p.m. Thursday, crews were called to a blaze in Coventry Hills.
The neighbours entered the burning home before crews arrived and managed to save the family's pet before being forced out.
The family wasn't at home at the time of the fire.
The house suffered significant damage and the heat also melted siding on two adjacent homes.
Fire officials continue to investigate the cause of the blaze.
