Some Calgary aldermen are taking issue with a proposed downtown bike share program.
The Calgary Sun reports at least nine aldermen have said they will not support the committee backed motion, which is said to cost $2.1-million to build and an additional $400,000 to launch.
It's believed it would take at least five years before the program would be financially sustainable and even some cyclists are opposed to the plan.
Similar pilot projects have already been launched in cities like Toronto, Vancouver and New York.
