A Calgary man faces drug trafficking charges after Banff RCMP found cocaine and a number of pills they believe to be ecstasy.
Just after 11 p.m. Friday, RCMP responded to an alleged assault on Banff Avenue.
They arrested a 21-year-old man who was yelling and swearing for causing a disturbance, they then searched him and found the drugs.
Brett Lively is charged with two counts of trafficking and two counts of failure to comply with a condition of recognizance related to marijuana trafficking charges this past March in Calgary.
The pills are being tested for PMMA, the toxin in tainted ecstasy responsible for seven deaths in the city since July.
