Business has been good at the Calgary International Airport, but that's creating a whole new challenge.
Close to 13 million people either got on or off a plane at YYC in 2011.
Part of the growth is being attributed to added flights to Orange County, California and Hutulco, Mexico.
However, people flying to the U.S. are facing long lines to get through American custom.
Jody Moseley with the airport authority says chronic under-staffing is to blame,
"We're very frustrated that we continue to see staffing shortages in that area. We have a lot of airlines, a lot of destinations going through there, and we area working with our local groups and going to Washington demanding they address the issue quickly."
It's only going to get even busier at the airport. Two major construction projects are underway, including a new runway.
