Do you not know how to skate or cross country ski?
Here's an opportunity to learn how and in the majestic setting of Lake Louise.
This Saturday, Banff-Lake Louise Tourism will have certified instructors teaching the basic skills of both sports.
"We're going to provide them with equipment to either cross country ski or skate, and we're going to have some certified instructors to teach them the basics in the wonderful setting of Lake Louise," organizer Julie Champagne tells 660News.
"I think you can learn the basics in one session," she continues. "We're going to be helping people" (learn) "about the different trails that they can experience in the Lake Louise area to discover Banff National Park."
While many Canadians know how to skate, it's safe to say that most didn't learn in the setting that this weekend's lesson provides.
"Not only is it to learn skating, but it's also on a frozen lake which is really traditional to Canada -- in a beautiful setting -- so it's a really great package deal," adds Champagne.
The lessons are free with your paid park entry Saturday. But you have to pre-register no later than Friday by calling 403-522-1203.
There is a minimum age to particpate in the cross country ski lessons. You must be 15 years or older.
