The total number of ecstasy related deaths in Calgary over the last few months has risen to six.
Calgary police say the latest victim is a 43-year-old man found in his northeast home last July.
Staff Sergeant Mike Bossley says investigators found all six victims had taken a powered version of the PMMA laced street drug.
He adds the demand on the street for ecstasy is down and he attributes that to the media coverage and general awareness of the dangers of the drug.
Officers are still waiting on toxicology reports done on the young man found dead on the SAIT campus to confirm if he took the street drug.
