Man arrested and charged in Nabb beating

Media reports out of Mexico say authorities have arrested and charged a Mexican man in relation to the brutal beating of a Calgary woman.

The man is reportedly charged with attempted and is a native of the Mazatlan area, who frequented tourist hotels and speaks fairly good English.

Sheila Nabb is recovering in a Calgary hospital after she was attacked last week at a resort in Mazatlan.  The 37-year-old was found bloody, in a hotel elevator.

Calgary police say if Mexican authorities were to call and ask for help in the investigation they would get involved.   

CPS spokesman Kevin Brookwell tells 660News they could be asked to interview witnesses as there are likely many questions that still need answering.
