Nursing numbers low in Alberta

Alberta has one of the lowest numbers of nurses per capita in the country.

According to the Canadian Institute for Health Information, Alberta had 918 nurses per 100,000 people in 2010, the third-lowest in the country behind Ontario and Quebec.

The Calgary Herald reports the national average was 931 nurses per 100,000 Canadians.
