Calgarians have a chance to watch some former Flames alumni Thursday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The alumni will face off against members of the Canadian Forces in the 1st Annual Heroes Hockey Challenge at 7 o'clock.

Public Affairs Officer Captain Peter Fuerbringer tells 660News the event is all for a good cause.

"All the money goes towards the Amputee Coalition of Canada and Princess Patricia's Light Infantry Foundation right here in Alberta," Fuerbringer says.

The challenge is also taking place in Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, Quebec city and Toronto.

General admission tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster for $25 each.

Organizers have made 5000 tickets available to Calgary youth hockey programs for $5 each.

The tickets can be purchased by emailing HHC@me.com
