Three Calgary schools have been recognized for their historical importance to our city's development.
The Calgary Heritage Authority joined the mayor for a plaque presentaton during Monday's council meeting.
Earl Grey Elementary School, along with Cliff Bungalow and King Edward School were the recipients of plaques based on the significance of their architecture, history and context.
King Edward School is the oldest of the three, built in 1912, while Cliff Bungalow was built in 1920 and Earl Grey Elementary in 1968.
The plaques are presented every two years.
