Runners will light up the night sky for charity in Calgary.
Starting at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, five and ten kilometres races will have runners taking to the trails of North Glenmore park for the Energizer Night Race.
The runners will look a bit like fireflies, with thousands strapping on Energizer LED headlights.
The runners are raising funds for the Calgary Health Trust.
Jill MacKinnon with Energizer Canada tells 660News, the races that take place around the world are in support of One Million Lights.
Energizer will give rechargeable solar lights to the organization that aims to improve lives through clean, environmentally friendly lights.
This is the first time the race is scheduled for Canada, with other events coming to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in the coming months.
