Police have charged a man after what they believe was an 'unprovoked' attack in Inglewood this week.

The unidentified victim in his 30's was found critically hurt Monday night in the area of 22nd Avenue and 17th Street SE.   He died shortly after arriving at hospital.
Police have not yet positively confirmed his identity but they say he suffered severe facial injuries.

Investigators are utilizing dental and medical records to try to discover who he is.

30-year-old Darrin Thomas Amond, of Calgary, is now charged with one count of second-degree murder.  They say another man is in custody in connection with the case but has so far not been charged.

Investigators believe the victim did not know his attacker.
