Mayor Dave Bronconnier has a simple wish for Tuesday's provincial budget: No broken contracts.
The provincial government says its fiscal plan includes a slash to spending of over 2 billion dollars.
There is some speculation that some of those savings will come from scaling back payments from the $1.4-billion Municipal Sustainability Initiative.
The mayor says he understands we are in some tough financial times, but that funding is badly needed. He says it is already earmarked for certain projects.
Bronconnier points out, the province signed a contract for the funding and he expects the government to live up to it.
Between 2010 and 2016, Calgary is supposed to receive $407 million.
