Calgary Police are looking for suspects in a pair of early morning robberies.
The first one occurred just after midnight Friday at a liquor store in the 1000 block of 40th Avenue N.W.
Duty Inspector Darren Leggatt tells 660News a slim Caucasian man with a dark coloured hoodie entered the store and threatened the use of pepper spray on the clerk. He then demanded money and fled in what appeared to be a gold-coloured SUV.
Later, a similar robbery occurred at a Macs store in Edgemont.
Leggatt says both incidents have similarities.
“He threatened the use of what appeared to be a pepper spray canister,” he says. “The suspect in this case was described in a very similar fashion; white male, shorter in stature, slim build, between 25 and 40 years of age, and likely wearing a dark hoodie of some sort.”
No injuries were reported in either robbery.
