Ron MacLean shares these stories as he travels the country with the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour.

The tour is coming to Canmore – Main Street Downtown 8 Street and 7th Avenue with a weekend festival of hockey activities. It all culminates with Ron hosting the broadcast of an NHL game from our mobile studio every Sunday night.

The Flames vs Islanders is the Hometown Hockey game starting at 4:30pm on Sunday, February 11.

Activities are going on Saturday noon – 6pm & Sunday noon – 8pm.

WHAT: A night run and walk through the Eau Claire pathways in support of those living with cancer and Wellspring Calgary. Participants will light the way to awareness and illuminate resources by joining in a 3km walk, 5km run/walk or a 10km run.

Support for people living with cancer will be palpable in our city as Calgarians of all ages take to the pathways of downtown to shine their lights brightly and show they care. The event features a 3km walk, 5km run/walk or a 10km run. Funds raised will help to ensure that Wellspring Calgary programs and resources remain available at no cost to anyone living with any type of cancer at any stage in their journey

The impact of cancer support in our community will be keenly felt as the evening darkness is transformed by the brilliant spirits of people helping people.

The Humpty’s Champions Cup is returning to Calgary. The season-ending Pintys Grand Slam of Curling event will be held at WinSport Arena at Canada Olympic Park for the second consecutive year and takes place April 24-29, 2018.

It’s a clash of the champions to close out the 2017-18 campaign featuring 15 mens teams and 15 womens teams who must win a high-profile tournament over the course of the season in order to qualify

Calgary Humane Society’s Dog Jog

Join us and participate in the Calgary Humane Society’s 17th annual Dog Jog on June 2nd, 2018!

Dog Jog is a one day event where two and four legged friends get together to walk or run the South Glenmore park Weaslehead Trail on a marked pathway, a distance of 2.5km or 5km.

The funds raised at Dog Jog will go to helping care for the more than 7,000 animals at Calgary Humane Society.
