Toddler pulled from Lake Bonaventure in southeast Calgary passes away

A toddler, who was rushed to hospital in critical condition after being found unresponsive in Lake Bonaventure in southeast Calgary has passed away.

According to Emergency Medical Services, the 15-month-old was located shortly after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Carol Henke with the fire department said CPR was already in progress when they arrived on scene in the community of Lake Bonavista.

“Our fire crews were here in under two minutes, and AHS was right behind us,” she explained. “The child was transported by AHS to an area hospital.”
