Calgary police are trying to locate a custom wheelchair and vehicle, ahead of the victim’s tryouts for the Canadian Paralympic Basketball team at the end of July.
They were stolen sometime between 10 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday from a secure parkade on Inglewood Park SE.
The wheelchair is specially designed for basketball, and it would take four months to have a new chair made.
The vehicle is a 2006 Dodge Magnum R/T with the license plate BVH 0737 and has a special lever mounted near the steering wheel that disables the breaks and gas pedals.
