Officers injured in crime spree arrests west of Calgary

(RCMP)

A group crime spree remains under investigation in Rocky View County near Cochrane.

Monday after 10 p.m., RCMP were called to a series of serious incidents.

First, police say a pedestrian was assaulted and attacked with bear spray. Later, a resident saw two men and a woman in the garage of her home, where the intruders were rummaging through a vehicle.

Upon arrival, Cochrane RCMP say they encountered a truck, which rammed a police vehicle, causing minor injuries to the constable.

Police stopped the truck and the occupants fled on foot, but a young man and two women were arrested not long after.

A constable suffered minor injuries while tracking the suspects.

Both of the injured constables are recovering from minor injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP.
