A young child has been taken to the Alberta Children’s Hospital after being attacked by a dog in the southeast community of Acadia.
Staff Sgt. Jeremy Whittman said emergency crews were called to the neighbourhood around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
“Emergency Medical Services transported the child with unknown injuries to the Calgary Children’s Hospital,” he said. “[Animal and Bylaw Services] took custody of the dog and is conducting an investigation into the matter.”
This is the third time in the last three weeks there has been a dog attack in the city.
