Poll shows majority support across Canada for Trans Mountain

Yet another poll shows support is growing for Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline.

And, it’s not just in Alberta.

Mainstreet Research recently polled thousands of Canadians across the country, and President Quito Maggi said respondents in every single province had majority support for the project.

“In British Columbia, it’s still a majority, although there is a very, very strong 30 per cent strongly opposed — that’s the highest that we see anywhere in the country,” he said.

He said the pipeline issue is also swaying things politically, as Rachel Notley’s approval rating is climbing thanks to her support of Kinder Morgan.

“Rachel Notley is up almost eight per cent,” Maggi said.

However, she still trails Jason Kenney’s United Conservative Party by 13-per cent of decided voters.

In B.C., the Liberal party has edged ahead of the ruling NDP/Green coalition.
