Calgary police have laid first-degree murder charges relating to a double murder in Calgary and another fatal shooting in Edmonton.
On September 20, 2016, Cuc Lung and Quang Tran were shot to death in a vehicle outside their home on Redstone Manor N.E.
Lung’s 5-year-old son was also in the car, but was not hurt.
Then a month later, a 30-year-old man was shot to death just outside his Edmonton home on October 7th, 2016.
It’s believed both incidents were targeted attacks carried out by an organized crime group.
With help from Edmonton police and RCMP, Calgary police arrested 26-year-old Jimmy Truong in the city on April 19th.
He is charged with three counts of first-degree murder
Along with Truong, police have identified two other persons of interest in the homicides, pictured below.
