Charges laid after failed robbery west of Red Deer

Four people face a long list of charges after a bungled robbery in central Alberta.

At around 6 a.m. on April 10 in the town of Caroline, a man entered the GTI Petroleum station, brandishing a knife and demanding cash.

He scampered away when an employee yelled, while three other suspects drove off in a vehicle that was later determined to be stolen from Blackfalds.

The attempted robber was found walking through Caroline, still carrying the knife, and also arrested.

Thirty-three-year-old Kevin Gallagher is facing eight criminal charges including possession of property obtained by crime, impaired driving, fail to comply with a condition of an undertaking and operation of a motor vehicle while being pursued by police.

Forty-four-year-old Kristina Fagala has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.

Thirty-five-year-old Darren Ray has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.
