Did you wear a jersey on Thursday, hockey-themed or otherwise?
#JerseysForHumboldt and #JerseyDay made up a majority of posts on social media, from Twitter to Facebook to Instagram.
The movement was initiated by a group of British Columbia hockey moms with the simple message: We are all one team.
Sixteen people died in a highway crash involving the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team on Friday, April 6, 2018. Another 13 were injured. The moms hope wearing a jersey will demonstrate to the heartbroken Saskatchewan community that the entire country is behind the victims, families and friends.
Meanwhile, #WHLPlayoffs were trending, Thursday, as the second round of post-season series’ skated on.
#NHLPlayoffs was also visible in many social media news feeds, after the puck dropped on the first three games of the #StanleyCupPlayoffs, Wednesday night.
