Council votes to continue Olympic bid process

City council has narrowly voted to continue the Olympic bid process, at least until they know whether they have the support of the federal and provincial governments.
Elected officials passed the motion 8-6 late Tuesday night.
Both the provincial and federal governments have said no decision has been made on funding a bid for the 2026 Winter Olympics just yet.
Councillors voted to extend the council meeting so they could make a decision on the recommendation.
