What’s open, what’s not this Family Day?

It’s Family Day and that means not all services are operating like normal.
All City of Calgary administrative buildings including City Hall are closed Monday, as are the Foothills Aquatic Centre, Glenmore Aquatic Centre and some other city run facilities.
If you are going out with the family there is free public skating and free swimming at a number of arenas and pools. Both Southland and Village Square Leisure Centres are open.
There are no changes to garbage, or recycling pickup.
Calgary Transit is operating on a Sunday-level of service, but if you take a car, you get a break on parking. All on-street parking is free and holiday rates are in effect at select Calgary Parking Authority parkades and surface lots.
