A look at the most romantic destinations in Europe

Valentine’s Day may have you thinking ‘abroad’ about destinations where you and your partner can stoke the flames of your romance.

It goes without saying Paris is arguably the most romantic city in the world, so it only makes sense to start there when listing places that will add a little spark to your romance.

U By Uniworld’s Michelle Palma said going up the Eiffel Tower will set the mood, but what’s across the street will seal the deal.

“It has a beautiful antique carousel and an ice cream stand and if you go in the summer months just before 10, or 11 p.m. you can watch the Eiffel Tower all light up with all the twinkly lights,” she said.

If you are in Germany sailing down the Rhine, or Moselle will leave you and your partner with that old romantic feeling.

“As you’re sailing down you’re passing all of these beautiful medieval towns and villages and castles built into the side of the hill tops and the cliffs along the way,” she said.

Palma said you can’t go wrong with Venice, or Verona in Italy as well.
