High River RCMP seek help finding suspicious men

High River RCMP are turning to the public for help after a child was approached on his way home Wednesday afternoon.

According to Mounties, a white minivan pulled up next to a 9-year-old boy who was walking down the sidewalk along Monteith Drive S.E. between 5th and 1st Streets.

A male passenger got out of the van and motioned for the boy to get inside.

He ran away and went home to speak with an adult.

The vehicle is described as white with blue lettering on the rear side panels, no roof rack, no lettering or logos on the doors and windows on the side.

The male passenger is described as brown skinned with a short, white beard, wearing a grey or black beanie type hat, black, wool jacket with higher collar, possibly pea-coat style and glasses.

The only description they have of the driver is having dark hair, a dark short beard with darker skin.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the High River RCMP at 403-652-2356, your local police detachment or Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). You can also submit a tip by Internet at www.tipsubmit.com or by SMS.
