Kamloops Blazers edge Hitmen

The Kamloops Blazers scored two goals in the middle frame and then held on to beat the Calgary Hitmen 2 – 1.

The Hitmen scored their only goal of the contest late in the third as Vladislav Yeryomenko beat Blazers’ goaltender Dylan Ferguson to close the gap, but it wasn’t enough.

Kamloops got their goals from Luc Smith and Quinn Benjafield.

Hitmen goaltender Nick Schneider made 34 saves in the loss.

The Hitmen’s next action will be when the Prince Albert Raiders invade the Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday.
