The city’s less fortunate were treated to turkey dinner, dessert, gifts, toiletries and supplies at CUPS Calgary’s annual Christmas in January.
Organizer Judy McKearny said they were fortunate to have some great volunteers at the event Monday night.
“Every year there’s some of the same volunteers,” she said, “but we have new people that are just learning about what all this means.”
Players from the Calgary Stampeders and Mayor Naheed Nenshi were on hand to greet the guests and serve up food.
