Woman in custody after cab stolen

A woman has been arrested after a taxi was stolen Thursday morning.
It happened just before 3:30 a.m., at the Braeside 7-Eleven, in the 2000 Block of Paliswood Road SW.
Sgt. Paul Cuthill said the woman allegedly assaulted the driver, and pulled him from his parked cab.
“The female then entered the cab, drove the vehicle from the scene, and the vehicle was located a short distance from the scene, with the female inside and she was taken into custody,” he said.
It’s not clear how seriously the cab driver was hurt.
Charges are pending.
