Calgary Hitmen give out teddy bears from toss

It’s a big, furry job, but someone’s got to do it.

Calgary Hitmen players will be knee deep in fur Monday as they look to distribute thousands of teddy bears collected at Sunday’s annual Teddy Bear Toss game at the Saddledome.

More than 24,600 stuffies were tossed onto the ice after Vladislav Yeryomenko scored Calgary’s first goal half way through the first period.

Players and volunteers will hand out the bears to more than 60 agencies who will pass them along to needy families this Christmas and they will visit the Alberta Children’s Hospital as well.
