A lot of people are taking in holiday displays at the Calgary Zoo.
Attendance is 147 per cent up from last year.
Trish Exton-Parder said there has been 47,000 visitors to Zoolights so far — 9,000 on Friday alone.
She’s crediting the mild weather.
“I think what’s motivating folks is that they know to come to an outdoor activity, in the evening, there’s a little more endurance there to hang out a little bit longer, bring the kids down, not to worry about having to bundle up so much,” Exton-Parder said.
Many are impressed with the Alice in Wonderland theme this year.
Even if it does get cold out, Exton-Parder said there are plenty of places on site to warm up.
