Experts from across the country are gathering in Calgary Tuesday to talk about how Canadian Food Industries and companies can seize more global export opportunities.
That’s one of the topics on the agenda as the Conference Board of Canada hosts the Canadian Food and Drink Summit.
Other issues to be discussed include a National Food Policy for Canada and an update on the ‘Balance Calories Initiative’.
The initiative aims to reduce the number of calories from sugar that Canadians consume daily from liquid beverages by 20 per cent by 2025.
The summit is taking place Tuesday and Wednesday at Hotel Arts on 12 Avenue SW.
