Man rushed to hospital after being shot in Auburn Bay

A shooting in the southeast community of Auburn Bay late Monday afternoon has sent one person to hospital in serious, non-life-threatening condition.
First responders were called to the 0 – 100 block of Auburn Meadows Garden just before 5 p.m. where they found a man with serious injuries.
Police say a vehicle was stolen after the shooting.
John who lives in the area was caught off-guard that it happened in his neighborhood.
“I mean it’s a little surprising in a neighborhood like this. It’s a new neighbourhood I really never seen anything like this go on,” said John. “So, just trying to figure out what to do in the future. Maybe we need to get a neighbourhood watch going or something like that, I don’t know.”
Ding Sagnes who also lives in the community says he is surprised it happened in his neighbourhood.
“This area here is so quiet, especially that side there. We know some people that live there,” said Sagnes. “We just looked out the window, and didn’t go out to really ask what happened.”
