Calgary Hitmen win in shootout over Rebels

Vladislav Yeryomenko scored in round five of the shootout to propel the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-3 victory over the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday night at the ENMAX Centrium.
Jake Bean, Jake Kryski and Conner Chaulk provided the Hitmen goals in regulation helping Calgary battle back from a 3-1 second period deficit.
Kristian Reichel, Lane Zablocki and Austin Schellenberg scored for Rebels who outshot the visitors 35-32.
Calgary Flames prospect Nick Schneider picked up the win as the Hitmen goaltender made 32 saves including a third period penalty shot and a breakaway stop in overtime.
The Hitmen return home tomorrow, Dec. 3 against the Regina Pats in a 4:00 p.m. puck drop at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
