New documentary reveals what happens overseas

A documentary will screen Monday night in Calgary that tells the story of Canadian Army reservists who served overseas.

The 90 minute film, called Deployed, features the personal experiences of reservists who were deployed on missions in Egypt, Cyprus, Congo, Sierra Leone, Croatia, Bosnia, and Afghanistan.

They will talk about why they volunteered, what happened while they served, and how it affected them when they returned home.

The documentary was directed by Lieutenant-Colonel Mike Vernon, Deputy Commander of 41 Canadian Brigade Group.

Deployed will be screened at The Plaza Theatre in Kensington, starting at 7 p.m.
