Man wanted for allegedly ramming police cars arrested

A 34-year-old man who allegedly rammed two police vehicles in Okotoks with a stolen car is now behind bars.

The incident happened just over a month ago in a Walmart parking lot and an arrest warrant was issued for Cameron David Randall, who was considered dangerous.

Randall was captured by Calgary police this past weekend and RCMP Cpl. Laurel Scott applauded the relationship with authorities in our city for making this arrest happen.

“I think it’s a great example of the partnership that we do have with CPS,” Scott explained. “We have that partnership with all other police agencies in this province because criminals who are working in our jurisdiction are travelling to other jurisdictions as well.”

Randall is scheduled to appear in provincial court Tuesday.
