Two people in hospital after two separate downtown incidents

A man is in critical life-threatening condition after being struck by a C-Train, the second incident to happen in the downtown core within the span of an hour.

Emergency crews responded to the City Hall station in the 700 block of Macleod Trail S.E. just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

C-Trains are not running downtown, shuttle buses are in place at the Kensington and Stampede stations.

Then about an hour earlier at 8 p.m., police were called to the 600 block of Macleod Trail S.E., after reports of a stabbing.

A man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

Police are investigating both incidents.
