CPS continues to investigate Forest Lawn murder; suspect found

Calgary police say they have now found two people they were looking for in connection with a recent murder in the southeast.
The suspect, 29-year-old Deibi Francisco Monterroso Salazar, was arrested by RCMP Thursday at an acreage near Strathmore, east of Calgary.
Warrants were issued for his arrest after a man was found dead and a woman was seriously injured in a home along 39 Street S.E. on Wednesday. The investigation is ongoing and the autopsy is still underway.
Police were also worried about the well-being of Salazar’s 49-year-old mother, Mirsa. However, she has since been found and is said to be safe. She is currently speaking with the CPS Homicide Unit.
