Fish Creek Park is being re-opened Friday after a bear was spotted in the area.
Votier’s Flats, near Elbow Drive S.W., was closed on Tuesday as Alberta Fish and Wildlife worked to trap the animal.
As of Friday morning, the bear has been trapped and they plan to set it loose near Bragg Creek.
To avoid encountering a bear, Fish and Wildlife says people should travel in groups, make plenty of noise, keep pets on a leash and carry bear spray.
